A few months back, I teamed up with Art Director Larry Malave for an exciting project: create high-quality photographs of Sexy Fish Miami’s new Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir wine bottles.
If you’re a Miami local, you’re likely familiar with Sexy Fish for its seafood offering and its opulent ambiance reminiscent of the depths of the ocean. The restaurant’s key features include a coral reef tank, a stunning mermaid sculpture, and numerous other details that transport diners into a unique, luxurious underwater experience. That’s exactly what got our creative juices flowing for this photoshoot.
We had one goal in mind – to create stylized product photographs that not only showcased these wine bottles but also told the story and theme of the restaurant.
To bring this vision to life, we creatively incorporated a range of props, including a real octopus, coral aquarium decorations, greenery, and flowers. Additionally, we had the privilege of utilizing props from the restaurant, such as the little golden fish, which were animated during post-production to add an extra layer of magic to our final video.
Collaborating on this project with a fellow creative was a great experience, and we were happy with the results. I can’t wait to dive into more surreal projects to bring my clients’ products to life in extraordinary and unique ways through photography and motion.
